I was born and raised in South Korea, and Canada has been home for much of my adult life. My professional background includes education, hospitality, and sales, and writing has always been a personal interest of mine.
Experiencing Korea from both the inside and outside has shaped the way I see its entertainment, culture, and society. I understand many of the cultural references that Korean audiences may take for granted, while also recognizing the questions and curiosities that international viewers often have.
I started this blog because I've always enjoyed looking beyond the surface of Korean films and television series. When I watch something interesting, I find myself wanting to know more. What inspired the story? Are the events based on reality? What cultural references might viewers have missed? What does the story reveal about Korean society?
Having lived abroad for many years, I also make an effort to stay connected with what's happening in Korea. I regularly follow Korean-language news, entertainment coverage, and public discussions, particularly those surrounding popular television series, films, and the people behind them.
Sometimes, a trending drama leads me to an interesting Korean news article, an unfamiliar historical event, or a social issue being discussed in Korea. I enjoy following those connections, researching the original Korean sources, and turning what I discover into articles that offer international readers a deeper perspective.
That's what I hope makes ALL ABOUT K-CONTENT different. Rather than simply repeating entertainment news or summarizing what happens on screen, I want to explore the stories behind the stories.

How I Approach My Articles
I research and write the articles on ALL ABOUT K-CONTENT using both Korean- and English-language sources. Depending on the subject, these may include Korean news reports, official publications, interviews, production materials, historical references, and other relevant resources.
Being able to read Korean allows me to explore original reporting and discussions that international audiences may not encounter through English-language coverage alone. I look for interesting details, examine related information, and try to connect the dots in ways that make each subject more informative and engaging.
I also believe it's important to distinguish between verified information, reported claims, and personal interpretations, particularly when writing about historical events, cultural beliefs, or real people.
My aim is not simply to tell readers what happened in a Korean drama or film, but to help them understand why the story matters, where it comes from, and what else there is to discover.
